CROHN'S INFORMATION

I'm still fairly new to Crohn's Disease, and I've been doing quite a bit of research. However, I want to point out that Crohn's is a highly individualized disease. Any of my recipes, comments and thoughts are my personal experiences with Crohn's. I hope that they can apply to you too, but no guarantees!

My research so far has been primarily through the links below.

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America

Gastro-Intestinal Research Foundation

Also, The Great Bowel Movement has a list of IBD Bloggers that you may find helpful and inspiring!

  1. You are right, every case is individualized. I cannot say anything else but that I admire people that have this disease. They are resilient. They have a strength I am sure I do not have. It is not "a simple tummy ache" as I have been asked by others. My husband has Crohn's since he was 12. Now at 33 still he is fighting it. There were about 7 years where everything was OK and during that time we met, we dated, we got engaged, and we married. Two years after, the remission was over and since then it has been a complete roller coaster. I sometimes pray that if I could take his pain over me so he can enjoy at least a day without any fears, pain, and he can eat anything that he wants. All I can do is to support him, hold his hands and stand by his side. I am also learning about this condition. I hope someday there will be a cure for it. Thank you for sharing your story, really you are a very tough lady! God bless.
