As long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a wife and mother. After finding the love of life, Chase (in a bar, keeping true to the tradition that Chase's parents and my parents started), we were married in 2012 and had our beautiful baby girl in February 2015. When I first found out I was pregnant, I was beyond excited. After seven months of a blissful and fun-filled pregnancy, I was hospitalized for severe stomach and back pain. I had surgery that same day, but the doctors weren't sure what they would find or if our little girl would tolerate the surgery. We were blessed, as both the baby and myself did well during surgery! After receiving my pathology report, we discovered I had Crohn's Disease. Now, I'm learning how to navigate this new diagnosis, motherhood, making a home and having fun doing it all! My goal is to share our story, and also chronicle our journey with Crohn's, parenting, and living life to the fullest!

Chase, Charlotte and I live in Houston, Texas where Chase works as a hospital administrator. I work with our local Girl Scouts council as the Director of Community Engagement. We love to grill out, house hunt on Sundays and are TV junkies. We have the most amazing families and friends that we try to visit as often as possible in our home state of Alabama!
